I got this opportunity to be a part of the
Kalimpong Project from EKIN. We went to a number of schools there and realized
that the students there don’t have basic facilities. Students come to school
from a great distance and they have to spend a lot of time in commuting. They
hardly get two hours a day to study yet they score very well in exams. If these
children get good facilities then they will give a far better performance.
These children are really needy. The people residing in the remote areas of
Kalimpong have been greatly benefitted by the financial help NER group and EDI
have provided them and they are really grateful for that. I would also like to
thank GFF for their wonderful contribution in the uplift of these people. I
hope NER continues to do such projects and I will get a chance in future too to
be a part of such projects.
